Description

Description & Uses
Cromar AlphaChem Mortar Mix is a 2-component
mixture, containing 2-parts Ordinary Portland cement and
1-part moist fine red building sand. Which when mixed
together they create the perfect mix for brick laying,
pointing, patching, rendering and general repairs.
Excellent workability without the need for additional
additives.
Part of the AlphaChem Small Bag range of products –
ideal for small jobs, meaning less wastage. The plastic
sealed bags also mean the product is kept fresher for
longer.
Application
 Thoroughly mix contents of bag together (cement
and sand) on a board or in a bucket using a trowel,
once you have a thorough mix add water and mix
until you have your desired consistency, which
should be smooth, for the job you are doing.
 Be careful not to get your mix too wet! It should be
wet enough to slip off the shovel but holds its
shape if you make a hollow in the mix.
 To colour mortar, add dye before mixing the
mortar.
 It is the user’s responsibility to dispose of all
packaging correctly.

Storage
Store indoors in cool, dry conditions between +5 and +25°C. Protect from rain and frost.
Shelf Life
12 months if stored as directed in original, sealed packaging.
Limitations
 Do not use during freezing conditions.
 Do not use in extreme heat (above 30 degrees)

In dry condition wet background and cover finished work with damp sacking or polythene.
Premature drying can result in lack of strength or crumbling. Once the mix starts to set, it cannot
be re-mixed because it will reduce the mortar’s strength.
 It is the user’s responsibility to ensure suitability for use.
